اقلیم کردستان عراق یکی از مناطق تجاری مهم عراق محسوب می شود و بسیاری از تجار و بازرگانان این ناحیه، کل کشور عراق را تحت پوشش قرار داده اند. همچنین این منطقه دارای پایانه های مرزی مشترک تجاری بسیار مهمی با ایران می باشد که بخشاعظم تبادلات میان این دو کشور از طرق این پایانه ها صورت می پذیرد.
ایجاد زیرساخت جهت فراهم شدن امکان صادرات برای شرکت های دانش بنیان و فناور و همچنین گسترش همکاری بین کشور های منطقه، منجر به راه اندازی خانه نوآوری و فناوری ایران در اقلیم کردستان عراق شد. این مجموعه، بهترین فرصت برای شرکت های دانش بنیان، خلاق و فناور است که علاقه مند به توسعه بازار خود در این کشور هستند و همچنین موقعیت مناسبی جهت معرفی توانمندی ها و محصولات آن ها است.
Iraqi Kurdistan is considered one of the important commercial areas of Iraq, and many traders and merchants of this area have covered the entire country. Also, this region has very important commercial border terminals with Iran, and most of the trade between these two countries takes place through these terminals.
Creating an infrastructure to provide an export platform for knowledge-based and technological companies, as well as expanding cooperation between countries in the region, led to the establishment of the Iran House of Innovation & Technology in Iraqi Kurdistan. This center can provide the best opportunity for knowledge-based, creative and technological companies that are interested in developing their market in Iraq and it is also a good platform for the introduction of their capabilities and products.

خانه نوآوری و فناوری ایران در سلیمانیه، با همکاری معاونت علمی و فناوری ریاست جمهوری، صندوق پژوهش و فناوری غیردولتی تجهیزات پزشکی، وزارت امور خارجه و کنسولگری ایران در سلیمانیه عراق در قالب اعزام هیاتی از شرکت های دانش بنیان، خلاق و نوآور در تیرماه سال 1401 راه‌اندازی گردید.
رویداد سلیمانیه عراق، به عنوان ششمین مقصد خانه‌های نوآوری و فناوری ایران‌ساخت(IHIT)، میزبان هیاتی از شرکت‌های دانش بنیان و خلاق ایرانی شد تا زمینه برای همکاری‌های مشترک علمی میان دو کشور فراهم شود و فروش محصولات ایران‌ساخت در بازار دارای ارزش افزوده بالای منطقه خاورمیانه به ویژه عراق رونق گیرد. افتتاحیه خانه نوآوری و فناوری سلیمانیه با حضور سرکنسول محترم ایران در سلیمانیه و همچنین ریاست محترم مرکز تعاملات بین المللی علم و فناوری کلید خورد.
IHIT in Sulaimaniyah was opened in cooperation with the Vice President for Science and Technology, Non-Governmental Medical Equipment Research and Technology Fund, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Iranian Consulate in Sulaimaniyah, Iraq, in the form of sending a delegation of knowledge-based, creative and innovative companies.
As the sixth destination of IHIT, the event in Sulaymaniyah, hosted a delegation of Iranian knowledge-based and creative companies in order to provide the basis for joint scientific cooperation between the Iran and Iraq and the sale of Iran-made products in the high value-added market of the Middle East region. IHIT was opened with the presence of Consul General of Iran in Sulaymaniyah, as well as the Director of the Center for International Science and Technology Interactions.
